Speaking on the latest episode of The Euro Trip, Swedish singer Molly Sanden has ruled out a return to Melodifestivalen.
The singer who found fame at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 has previously competed in Melfest on three occasions (2009, 2012, 2016) with her best result of 5th coming in 2012 with the song ‘Why Am I Crying?’.
When asked by presenter James Rowe if a return to the competition could be possible, Molly replied:
“No. If I could go straight to Eurovision I would do that. For me it’s scary to compete with music. I’ve done it so many times and every time its so scary.”
Molly, who provided her vocals for the Netflix film ‘Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga’ continued:
“I’m doing this big arena tour early next year and I’ll be busy with that. But I’m definitely going to watch those shows, I always do, I love it.”
Molly added this cryptic response at the end:
“You never know, maybe I’ll be in it somehow anyways.”
