Speaking in the latest episode of The Euro Trip podcast, Sweden’s entry Tusse has revealed Melfest runner up and former Eurovision participant Eric Saade shared his advice about competing in the contest.
When asked by presenter Rob Lilley whether any of this year’s Melodifestivalen competitors had congratulated him on his victory, Tusse explained that two artists in particular had reached out.
“Dotter said good luck and great job.”
“I spoke to Eric Saade… he said enjoy the entire time and don’t forget to look up. Take it all in, because it goes really fast, so keep your head in it.”
Tusse won this year’s Melfest with maximum points from the public vote in the Grand Final.
The Swedish Idol winner also hinted at new music to follow soon after Rotterdam.
“There is a lot of stages here, I’m rehearsing the number [Voices], then there is the recording of new songs.”
“We have one song I’m really excited we wrote…I’m going to record, and that is going to be a lot of fun.”
