Speaking in a special bonus episode of The Euro Trip previewing Wednesday night’s Concert in the Dark Eurovision pre-party, Melfest 2021 artist Patrik Jean has revealed he’d love to return to the competition next year.
Patrik was eliminated from this year’s Melodifestivalen after competing in the first semi-final, but his song ‘Tears Run Dry’ has since gone on to spend several weeks in the Swedish music charts.
Speaking to presenter Rob Lilley, Patrik was asked whether he’d like to return to the competition.
“I will never say never… I definitely think I would want to do it again. Hopefully when there’s a live audience and a full arena.”
“I think it’s possible in the future if I have the right song.”
He also co-wrote The Mamas winning entry ‘Move’ in 2020 and was asked if it was also possible if he’d return in a behind-the-scenes role.
“Maybe I’ll come back next year as a songwriter, or maybe I’ll be there on stage, who knows?”
Patrik is one of a host of special guests performing in Concert in the Dark, with the likes of Keiino, Dami Im and Eurovision winner Carola also appearing in the show.
