Sunstroke Project tease collaboration with Jowst

Moldovan Eurovision hopefuls Sunstroke Project have teased a collaboration with Norwegian producer and former Eurovision artist Jowst.

Vocalist Sergei Ialovitski and saxophonist Sergey Stepanov – better known as Epic Sax Guy – were speaking exclusively to The Euro Trip podcast after announcing at the weekend their intention to represent Moldova at Eurovision for a third time.

Sunstroke Project’s song Yummy Mommy

The band released Yummy Mommy last week and announced on their Instagram on Sunday they have submitted the song to Moldovan broadcaster TRM with the hope of competing in the country’s Eurovision national selection next month.

After Jowst commented on the band’s Instagram post, Ialovitski told The Euro Trip: “We are already connected and we want to make some kind of song, or a remix of Yummy Mommy.

“It will be something interesting. We just started chatting about it. It will be something catchy and crazy.”

Sunstroke Project and Jowst both represented their countries at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017 when the event was held in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Jowst tried to represent Norway at Eurovision again this year but failed to qualify from the first heat of Melodi Grand Prix last weekend with the song Freaky For The Weekend

Sunstroke Project first competed at the contest in 2010 together with Olia Tira and placed 22nd, before returning in 2017 without Tira and securing Moldova’s best result to date with third.
