The Euro Trip: Live is just a few days away, and we’re thrilled to announce the guests who will be joining us for our live podcast event in Malmö, and a few important details you need to know when you come along.
Event & Venue Details
Event: The Euro Trip: Live is The Euro Trip’s second live event, and follows on from a successful live show in Liverpool last year. This year’s live podcast recording will feature a panel of podcast favourites, and a live performance from a much-loved star of Melodifestivalen.
Venue: The Euro Trip: Live will take place at the Euro Fan Café inside the Eurovision Village. The Euro Fan Café is located inside the Amiralen building, and the Eurovision Village is at Folketspark.
Date & Time: The Euro Trip: Live will run from 13:00-14:30 on May 9. Please arrive at 12:45 prompt for the event to start on time.
Directions: The Eurovision Village is a 15 minute walk from Triangeln Station. Exit from the station and walk east along Friisgatan.
Bags: Swedish authorities have banned bags being brought into the Eurovision Village, so they can’t be brought to The Euro Trip: Live. People who need to bring a bag for medical reasons and people in the company of children who need a diaper bag are permitted to take bags inside the Eurovision Village, but they must be searched by event security.
Guests
Anderz Wrethov is a two-time Melfest-winning songwriter, having claimed the crown as part of the writing team behind Too Late For Love by John Lundvik and Voices by Tusse. Anderz also wrote Fuego which was runner-up at Eurovision in 2018, and he is part of the Austrian delegation this year having written We Will Rave.
Tina Mehrafzoon is an acclaimed Swedish music journalist. Alongside Edward af Sillén, Tina will commentate on all three Eurovision shows for SVT. Earlier this year, Tina appeared live during the Melodifestivalen shows as an expert providing viewers at home with information about the performers. Tina also made regular appearances on The Euro Trip’s Melfest Monday series.
Tobbe Ek is a journalist for Sweden’s leading daily newspaper, Aftonbladet. Tobbe Ek is highly regarded as one of Sweden’s most-authoritative voices in the coverage of Melodifestivalen and Eurovision, and is famous for his contributions to Aftonbladet’s Schlagerbloggen. Tobbe also features regularly on Melfest Monday.
Samira Manners is a Swedish-British singer-songwriter. In 2022, she competed in Melodifestivalen with the song I Want To Be Loved. Over the last couple of years, Samira has made numerous live appearances on Swedish music programmes. Samira will perform covers of Eurovision favourites and some of her own original material at The Euro Trip: Live.
