In an interview on the latest episode of The Euro Trip podcast, Finnish band Blind Channel have revealed they intend on using their downtime in Rotterdam to write new music.
Speaking to The Euro Trip’s James Rowe, Niko and Joel from the band confirmed they won’t be relaxing when in enforced hotel quarantine.
“We are going to make an album… why not? We need to work [being a musician] it’s a lot work.”
As confirmed by organisers last month, this year’s Eurovision artists and delegations will be required to remain in their hotels when not rehearsing or performing at the Ahoy Arena.
Blind Channel will perform 14th in the second semi-final in Rotterdam, with the band hoping to give Finland their best result for over a decade.
“Our attitude is the same in the UMK, but we make no compromises. We have to be ourselves, we have to be 100% Blind Channel that we are showing to everyone.
“Win or lose it doesn’t really matter if we pull off a great show.”
The band received over 50% of the televote in their National Selection, while their song ‘Dark Side’ remained #1 in the Finnish Music Chart for several weeks.
