More Details for Eurovision 2021 Revealed Later This Week

Speaking in an exclusive interview with The Euro Trip podcast, Eurovision 2021 Executive Producer Sietse Bakker has revealed more details about this year’s contest will be announced in the next few days.

Talking in an interview to be broadcast on a special episode of the podcast later this week, Sietse was asked how long we would have to wait before we hear more news on this year’s show.

“We have a lot more announcements to come in the weeks to come”

“The first things will come later this week, and then in another two to three weeks you’ll get more on what the shows are going to look like.”

Reflecting on changes made to the broadcaster’s original plan for the show, Sieste Bakker said the organisers had to take into account the mood of those watching, and how the pandemic was still impacting competing nation’s differently.

“One of the challenges was that we didn’t know what May 2021 was going to look like, what the vibe will be in Europe… we want to make a song contest which fits with the spirit of the time.”

Last week the organisers marked 100 days until the contest begins in Rotterdam, while a decision on an audience inside the Ahoy arena has been delayed until mid-April.
